Maine Maritime Museum Boatshop Summer Camp

Monday, August 17 - Friday, August 28, 9 am - 4 pm

Members $400/Non-members $440. 

Early drop off (8 am)/Late pick up (5:30) available for $50

Limit 12.  Registration deadline August 3, 2009.

No carpentry or boat handling experience necessary.

This summer,the Museum is offering a two week boatbuilding camp  in the Ned and Kathy Harding Boatshop. Kids, ages 10 -14 will learn the maritime history of the Kennebec region and sharpen their skills in the shop building a real wooden boat!  Campers will work on all aspects of constructing a traditional wooden skiff, ending with a launching (and row) on the Kennebec River.  They will make a half hull model to take home.
