July 12, 2018 - October 4, 2018
This narrated tour, hosted by Red Cloak Haunted History Tours, combines a trolley tour and a walking tour which will immerse you in the heyday of Bath’s shipbuilding. Along the trolley ride to Oak Grove Cemetery, you’ll pass the homes of Bath’s sea captains and shipbuilders, as well as view the oldest home in Bath and the earliest burying ground in the city. At Oak Grove, you’ll see the cemetery’s oldest gravestone and learn what gravestone carvings symbolize. Strolling through the oldest section of the cemetery, the pieces of Bath’s history start to come together, including the stories of the wives of the noted and notorious men whose homes you went by on the trolley.
A portion of this tour involves moderate walking on uneven ground. Tour does not operate in inclement weather. Seating is limited; reservations strongly recommended.
