Cuckolds Light Station Cruise
August 27 27
The Cuckolds are two rocky islets rising 15 feet above high water in the channel to Boothbay Harbor that wreaked havoc for generations of local mariners during the 18th and 19th centuries. It was one of the last lights built by Royal Luther, who constructed about 80% of the lighthouses on the New England coast.
In addition to about one hour on the Cuckolds, this tour includes beautiful Maine coastal cruising from Bath to Boothbay.
The Seguin's professionally trained crew provides fascinating narration and a safe, comfortable cruise. Guests are welcome to bring aboard a picnic to enjoy on the island or on the boat.
The temperature on the water can vary throughout the day. Please come prepared with extra layers and weather-appropriate clothing.
This is a physically challenging trip. Access to the boat requires negotiating a ramp down to the float, and then boarding steps into the boat. Passengers will need to negotiate a transfer to a smaller launch boat to access the Cuckolds.
Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of a weather cancellation. This cruise may be cancelled in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions or unmet minimum ticket sales, and cancellations are made by the Captain on the day of the cruise. If the Museum cancels a cruise, you will have the opportunity to reschedule, or receive a refund.
