Sailing aboard a traditional tall ship is an exhilarating adventure. Sailing aboard Pride of Baltimore II (watch video) is a great opportunity for those who have the desire to experience the hands-on challenge of sailing a traditional ship. Pride II sails with a professional crew of 12 men and women including the Captain, ship's cook, two mates, bosun, engineer, and six deckhands. The vessel's sleek hull, raked masts, and intricate rigging provide a dramatic setting.

Even in the confines of the Kennebec River, you will get a taste of the fast, maneuverable sailing machines Baltimore Clippers were. They reached their zenith between 1795, the unofficial re-commencement of naval hostilities between the US and Great Britain, and 1815, the end of our Second War of Independence. After that time, changing economic and maritime conditions made them obsolete. They stand, however, as thoroughbred progenitors to a remarkable lineage of American sailing vessels. Availability is highly limited so reserve early see sailing schedule below.
