Seguin Light Cruise - June 21

June 21

10 a.m. — 3 p.m.  Lighthouse & River Cruises  Outdoor Experiences  Special Events

Purchase Tickets NOW.

An amazing adventure awaits you as resident caretakers conduct a tour of this special island. The Seguin Island Light was commissioned by George Washington in 1795 and is Maine's highest and second oldest lighthouse. If you dare, venture onto the light tower's catwalk for majestic views and stunning photos. See the 1st order Fresnel lens and visit the keeper's house museum to learn about living on the island.

This trip is five hours long. Attendees will meet at Maine Maritime Museum at 10am for a bus ride to Phippsburg. The ferry departs from Phippsburg, and you will have approximately two hours on the island. The bus will return to MMM at about 3pm.

The temperature on the water and the island can vary tremendously, so please be prepared for changing weather conditions. There is no food service on the boat or the island, so bring a picnic to enjoy on the island.

This is a physically challenging trip, so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Guests will be transferring from one boat to a launch for access to the island. Depending on the tide, guests may need to climb a ladder, and there is a steep hike over rough terrain to the lighthouse.

Tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of a weather cancellation. This cruise may be cancelled in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions or unmet minimum ticket sales, and cancellations are made by the Captain on the day of the cruise. If the Museum cancels a cruise, you will have the opportunity to reschedule, or receive a refund.
