Starting in 2017 we are pleased to offer two BIW experiences: By Land and By Sea: The Bath Iron Works Story and the Bath Iron Works Story Trolley Tour.

By Land and By Sea: The Bath Iron Works Story (2.5 hours)

Discover the unique story of Bath Iron Works by land, on the trolley, and by sea on the museum's cruise boat. Thie tour begins with the Bath Iron Works Story trolley tour (see description below), a rolling tour through historic Bath. Then, the trolley will drop you off to board the museum's cruise boat, Merrymeeting for a one-hour cruise featuring spectacular views of modern shipbuilding and close-up views of Zumwalt and Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, as well as the historic Percy & Small Shipyard and two of the Kennebec River's lighthouses which help guide the vessels back to Bath. This is the most comprehensive public tour of Bath Iron Works available.

Members $40; nonmembers $50; children under 12 $32

Tickets are nonrefundable. This event is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.  Please note: due to security restrictions, Bath Iron Works tours are not permitted to go inside the shipyard.

The Bath Iron Works  Story Trolley Tour (1.25 hours)

Discover the unique story of Bath Iron Works as current and former BIW employees serve as your guides. The tour begins with an exclusive exhibit and introductory video, then board the trolley for a rolling tour through Bath where guides will detail the history of the yard, interpret the views, highlight key elements of the shipyard and share the areas 400 years of shipbuilding heritage.

Members $24; nonmembers $30; children under 12 $20
