There will be NO parking at the Museum, Saturday morning, April 12, due to a Private Function.
Parking at Maine Maritime Museum is ample, free and convenient. A large parking lot is located directly in front of the Museum main building, the Maritime History Building. Parking in front of the building is permitted in marked spaces along the curb and along the fences on both ends of the parking lot.
A driveway in front of the Museum's main entrance, in the Maritime History Building, is provided for drop-off and pick-up of individuals with mobility issues, during inclement weather or for other reasons. No parking is permitted in the driveway. Be aware that the driveway is used to load and unload the BIW tour trolley and motor coach guests, so entering the one-way driveway behind one of these vehicles may require a more lengthy wait.
An large unpaved satellite parking area, located on the south end of the campus, can be accessed by driving further south on Washington Street. This lot should be used by buses, RVs, vehicles towing trailers and other large area requiring vehicles.
In addition, street parking is permitted along Washington Street, which is unmetered.
Please note that overnight parking is not permitted in any Museum lot.
