Prof. Warren Riess will explain the significance, possibilities, fieldwork, analysis, and ethics of this unique endeavor.  Riess will use maritime archaeology examples mostly in Maine.

Boat for Sale

For sale: a beautiful Yankee Tender skiff built in the museum’s Boatshop! The boat is 12’3″ in length and is constructed from Maine cedar planking on oak frames. The Boatshop is offering the skiff at a reduced price of $1,200, and all proceeds support the museum’s programming, including the Discovery Boatbuilding youth program.
