The historic 1906 schooner Mary E received a new main boom before campers and students sailed aboard her in August and September. In the spring, four Discovery Boatbuilding classes helped build seven skiffs, and two schools will participate this fall. In the historic shipyard, volunteers demonstrated skills such as blacksmithing, woodcarving, and steambending for museum visitors.
