Immerse yourself in the fun and fascinating City of Ships on the Kennebec River, in the heart of Midcoast Maine. This walking tour of downtown Bath will introduce the people and events from the past 400 years that led to the city becoming an epicenter of shipbuilding, trade, and maritime heritage. Meg Barker, of Embark Maine Tours, will lead this 90 minute tour and introduce how the city has changed over history and the important monuments and buildings that continue to stand today. Visitors and locals alike will gain a new appreciation for the maritime heritage that the City of Bath continues to preserve today!
The tour is just under a mile, over pavement and sidewalks with some medium hills.
