June 26 – 30
Webbed feet, camouflage, and spines are just a few of the amazing adaptations Maine’s animals have. Come join us as we explore Maine Maritime Museum and beyond to learn about Maine’s animal adaptations that allow them to call this place home.
Nature hikes, beach trips, shipyard games, crafts, science… The fun goes on and on!
This summer, Maine Maritime Museum will offer seven sessions of our five-day summer camp that will develop your child’s curiosity for natural exploration and all things maritime. With a different theme for each session, repeating campers will gain new experiences every week.
Campers will explore the ecosystem of Merrymeeting Bay and gain a sense of stewardship for this special place. Each week, campers will take part in field trips, boat cruises on the Kennebec River, games, science experiments, crafts, and learn from guest speakers.
Small weekly groups, low camper-to-counselor ratios, and experienced educators make for an unforgettable camp experience.
