July 22 – 26
This week, we will dive back in time to experience life as a sailor. From our exhibits to our visit to Popham Beach, campers will learn everything from which ships were built to how they navigated Maine’s waters and the lighthouses that guided their way along the river. Come join us for this fun-filled nautical week of camp!
Nature hikes, beach trips, shipyard games, crafts, science… The fun goes on and on!
This summer, Maine Maritime Museum will offer seven sessions of our five-day summer camp that will develop your child’s curiosity for natural exploration and all things maritime. With a different theme for each session, repeating campers will gain new experiences every week.
Campers will explore the ecosystem of Merrymeeting Bay and gain a sense of stewardship for this special place. Each week, campers will take part in field trips, boat cruises on the Kennebec River, games, science experiments, crafts, and learn from guest speakers.
Small weekly groups, low camper-to-counselor ratios, and experienced educators make for an unforgettable camp experience.
