Shipyards & Lighthouses Cruise

Board the museum’s comfortable cruise boat Merrymeeting to explore the lower Kennebec River where American shipbuilding began more than 400 years ago and continues today! Cruise up the river to Bath Iron Works and for spectacular views of the Navy’s most advanced ships including the Zumwalt-class destroyers. Downriver, enjoy a water view of the museum’s historic Percy & Small Shipyard, as well as an up-close look at two of the Kennebec River’s famed lighthouses: Doubling Point Light and the Kennebec Range Lights.  There’s something for everyone on this cruise!

Members $31; nonmembers $38; child (6-12) $21; under 6 $6

Cruise fees include museum admission.

The Merrymeeting’s professionally trained crew provides fascinating narration and a safe, comfortable cruise.  A snack bar with beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks is onboard. Guests are welcome to bring aboard food and non-alcoholic beverages.
