A History of Maple : facial scrub making + yoga Nidra
We wish to honor the tremendous energy and hard work that is required to complete a successful event season in Maine, and the people who do it. One way is by harmonizing with what the seasons and plants have to offer. In February, Maple wakes up and moves nutrients deeply stored in its roots to the rest of the plant.
Come sample maple water and tea made from the sap of local trees. We will be using maple syrup to make a facial scrub ending with a gentle Yoga Nidra practice.
Yoga Nidra is a guided, still, effortless practice. You are not asleep, nor are you awake. Instead, you are in an in-between place where the mind is calm and the body feels like a feather, much like a dreamless sleep. This form of yoga promotes nervous system regulation, relieves stress + tension, and many other health benefits.
No experience is necessary; loose-fitting clothes are recommended.
Please join us for this wellness gathering and renew your sense of community, hope + creativity. All are welcome.
