Explore the Kennebec River where shipbuilding began more than 400 years ago and continues today. Cruising past BIW see spectacular views of the Navy’s most advanced ships taking shape. Then cruise down river to enjoy a water view of the museum’s historic shipyard and two of the Kennebec’s famed lighthouses: Doubling Point Light and the Kennebec Range Lights. Running daily at 12 pm and 2 pm, May 18-October 27.* Members $30; nonmembers $37; 6-12 years $20; under 6 $6  *Saturday 2 pm cruises end on October 5.

Be part of the incredible action at Portland's spring regatta for traditional sail.  Sail aboard the museum's 1906 schooner Mary E as we race (sort of) against the rest of the Maine's schooner fleet. Schooner race sails are available June 21 at 3:30 pm, June 22 at 1 pm and 3:30 pm, and June 23 at 1 pm and 3:30 pm. These trips depart from Portland; dock location TBD. Seating is very limited. $45 per person

The namesake of our cruise boat, Merrymeeting Bay is a unique confluence of six Maine rivers, all converging to form a truly rare ecosystem. Pass through the swirling eddies of Chops Point into the serenity of the bay, one of the best places in the state to view bald eagles and waterfowl. Running Sunday at 3:30 pm, May 19-October 6. Members $38; nonmembers $47; 6-12 years $30; under 6 $6

Schoonerfest evening sails are available June 21-23 from 6-9 pm. These trips depart from Portland; dock location TBD. Seating is very limited. $65 per person   SchoonerFest is organized by Tall Ships® Maine.
