Shipyards & Lighthouses Cruise (1 hour)

Shipyards & Lighthouses Cruise Board the museum's comfortable cruise boat Merrymeeting to explore the lower Kennebec River where American shipbuilding began more than 400 years ago and continues today! Cruise up the river to Bath Iron Works and for spectacular views of the Navy's most advanced ships under construction. Downriver, enjoy a water view of the museum's historic Percy & Small Shipyard, as well as an up-close look at two of the Kennebec River's famed lighthouses: Doubling Point Light and the Kennebec Range Lights.  There's something for everyone on this cruise! Members $31; nonmembers $38; child (6-12) $21; under 6 $6 Cruise fees include museum admission.The Merrymeeting's professionally trained crew provides fascinating narration and a safe, comfortable cruise.  A snack bar with beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks is onboard. Guests are welcome to bring aboard food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Printing Press Workshop

Join Bath Printing Company as they teach us the many different ways to make prints. Discover the difference between etchings, engravings, and woodblocks, as well as the science behind each one. Everyone will have a chance to press their own print in an antique press. STEAMbox Family Workshops are designed to integrate STEM and creative arts skills into a cohesive and hands-on learning experience. Space is limited to 16 participants. Preregistration is strongly suggested to guarantee availability.
