Let’s have some fun with our beloved figurehead Clarissa Ann! If you’ve visited the museum you’ve likely encountered this face in the galleries. This is the figurehead of the 1824 Bath-built brig Clarissa Ann – the oldest surviving figurehead from a Maine-built vessel! Built by shipbuilder Levi Houghton, the vessel was named for his daughter Clarissa Ann.
