Meet the Team!

Molly Cashman, Camp Leader
Molly Cashman leads our team of Kennebec Explorer counselors. She is returning for her sixth summer and couldn’t be more excited to be back again! Molly is a rising senior at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. There, she studies criminal justice with a minor in victimology. Her favorite camp memory is going out on the Merrymeeting every week and being able to see all of the animals along the Kennebec River. She can’t wait for the adventures this summer will bring!

Emma Collins, Counselor
Emma Collins is a rising junior at Bates College, studying Psychology. At Bates, Emma also participates on the Water Polo team. Originally from Woolwich, Emma is returning to Maine Maritime Museum for her third summer, Emma’s favorite camp memories include counting the seals and bald eagles when we’re out on the Kennebec. She’s also looking forward to teaching new and returning campers all kinds of fun maritime games!

Mara Waskiewicz, Counselor
Mara Waskiewicz will begin her third year at Elon University in North Carolina this fall. She is a double major in French and Classical Studies, with a psychology minor. Mara’s previous camp experience includes attending summer camp since she was five years old! She began working as a counselor five years ago. She fondly remembers making friendship bracelets and playing card games on the beach at sleepaway camp, and she’s so excited to have new adventures as part of the Kennebec Explorers team!
