Board Merrymeeting for an up-close look at some of Maine’s most iconic lighthouses and abundant wildlife. You’ll cruise comfortably on board our 50-passenger vessel, which offers an open upper deck and enclosed lower deck. All cruise fees include two-day admission.

Shipyards & Lighthouses Cruise (1 hour)
Daily, 12 pm and 2 pm (12 pm only on Saturday)

Explore the Kennebec River where shipbuilding began more than 400 years ago and continues today. While cruising past BIW you’ll see spectacular views of the Navy’s most advanced ships taking shape. Further down river you’ll enjoy a water view of the museum’s historic shipyard and two of the Kennebec’s famed lighthouses: Doubling Point Light and the Kennebec Range Lights.

 

Autumn Lights Cruise (2 hours)
October 8 – 25, Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm

See the Kennebec’s most beautiful lighthouses in the splendor of fall! During this autumn cruise you’ll see up to six lighthouses: Doubling Point Light, the Kennebec Range Lights, Squirrel Point Light, Perkins Island Light, Pond Island Light, and Seguin Island Light.

Lighthouse Legends and Lore (3.5 hours)
September 7- October 26, Saturday, 2 pm
Members $54; nonmembers $68; 6-12 years $44; under 6 $10
Explore the legends and lore of Midcoast Maine’s lighthouses including a shore landing at the historic Burnt Island Light. Your adventure will be guided by Red Cloak History Tours. Up to seven lighthouses can be seen, and the visit to Burnt Island includes a chance to view the keeper’s house and other facilities up-close, including the majestic Burnt Island Light tower.
