Chris Jacobs, Director of Finance

Chris Jacobs joined the museum as the Director of Finance in December 2022. He has a bachelor’s in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA in accounting from New York University. He is a former certified public accountant who worked in New York in financial services for 19 years at KPMG Peat Marwick and Lehman Brothers. In 2004, Chris and his wife, Anne, decided to move to Maine to raise their two sons. Soon after this Chris made a career change and became a high school math teacher at Thornton Academy in Saco, Maine, which he did for 16 years before returning to finance. In the warmer months, Chris enjoys spending time aboard his Rhodes 19 sailboat.
