Historic Watercraft Collection

Within our collection of small watercraft are more than 140 iconic Maine-built or Maine-related boats, including a rare antique birchbark canoe, bateaux, lobster boats, and more.

While only a small percentage of these vessels are on display for the public seasonally, visitors can view examples of boats from the collection in several buildings across the Maine Maritime Museum campus. Please call to inquire about the small watercraft included in various rotating exhibits.
