Blacksmith Shop Docent (Volunteer)

POSITION SUMMARY

Blacksmith Shop Docents will engage visitors in informational discussion to compliment the work of Blacksmiths at the forge. They will engage visitors with the importance of this craft to historic wooden shipbuilding and create metalwork for visitors to observe. They may also assist during school and summer camp youth programming by providing interpretation to visiting educational groups.

Blacksmith Shop Docent Volunteers are supervised by the Director of Boatbuilding.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position.
