Chelsea Lane, Director of Visitor Experience

Chelsea joined Maine Maritime Museum in 2021 as a Visitor Experience Associate, and was promoted to lead the department a year later. She is a Maine native, having grown up in nearby Georgetown, and is a proud third-generation graduate of Morse High School in Bath. Her experience in customer service began early, working behind the counter at the seasonal campground her parents owned and operated when she was a teenager. Since then, she’s held a range of positions in retail, hospitality, retail lending, and municipal government, including time with the Town of Woolwich and at Bath Savings Institution.

Her favorite thing about working with visitors? When they stop by on their way out to relay their favorite thing about the museum. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys searching for sea glass, knitting, and cheering for the Red Sox (even when they don’t deserve it).
