Jason Morin, Director of Operations
Jason Morin is a museum professional with 25 years of experience. Jason joined Maine Maritime Museum in 2000 as Education Coordinator. During his career, he has overseen a variety of museum areas including: Education, Public Programs, Volunteer Program, Vessel Operations, and Facilities / IT Maintenance, he currently serves as the museum’s Director of Operations. Jason has extensive experience in building collaborative relationships with maritime related businesses and organizations. He has presented at the New England Museum Association conference, Maine Association of Non-Profits conference, as well as at various local organizations.
Prior to entering the museum field, Jason served as an intern at the Maine Department of Marine Resources leading educational programs at the Maine State Aquarium and working as a Field Technician for Northern Ecological Associates. Jason has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Environmental Marine Biology and Terrain Analysis from Plymouth State University.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys spending time sailing the coast of Maine and island hopping aboard his boat NJORD with his wife Amy and their children Riley, Addison, and Carli.
