It is a wonder how such large sailing ships would carry tons of cargo without tipping over or sinking! Let’s investigate everything that it takes to make a sailing ship float and move through interactive tests, then make our own sailboats.  

Our STEAMbox program, where you will explore maritime topics through hands-on learning in STEM + the arts to create, build and problem solve, are held on Saturdays from 10:30–11:30 am. The content appropriate for ages 4–10 years, but all are welcome. Pre-registration is required, and opens one month in advance. Registration is only necessary for the child(ren) taking part in the activity, but please make sure they come with at least one accompanying adult (additional adults are welcome).
