STEAMbox Family Workshop: From Sky to Sea

  • Maine Maritime Museum 243 Washington St Bath United States (map)

How do tides work? How did sailors navigate before GPS? Look up! Let’s use our senses to learn about the sun and moon and how they affect the tides, and how constellations can be useful for getting around.

Our STEAMbox program, where you will explore maritime topics through hands-on learning in STEM + the arts to create, build and problem solve, are held on Saturdays from 10:30–11:30 am. The content appropriate for ages 4–10 years, but all are welcome. Pre-registration is required, and opens one month in advance. Registration is only necessary for the child(ren) taking part in the activity, but please make sure they come with at least one accompanying adult (additional adults are welcome).

STEAMbox programs are generously funded by First Federal Savings, allowing us to offer this program free to the public.
