Can you identify all of the flora and fauna outside on the museum’s campus? Come explore the wonders and uses for the various plants in our gardens, and better understand how they survive and thrive.  Take part in a scavenger hunt and hands-on experiments before making your very own “plant pet” to take home! 

Our STEAMbox program, where you will explore maritime topics through hands-on learning in STEM + the arts to create, build and problem solve, are held on Saturdays from 10:30–11:30 am. The content appropriate for ages 4–10 years, but all are welcome. Pre-registration is required, and opens one month in advance. Registration is only necessary for the child(ren) taking part in the activity, but please make sure they come with at least one accompanying adult (additional adults are welcome).

STEAMbox programs are generously funded by First Federal Savings, allowing us to offer this program free to the public.
